These traditional boards, typically seen surrounding the field, were reimagined for a match featuring Botafogo and Palmeiras, highlighting the Itaú Shop, which serves as the bank’s online retail platform.
In a creative twist, each time the soccer ball struck the boards, discount coupons were generated in real-time for spectators, offering deals on a variety of items, from official jerseys to the latest consumer electronics.
The significance. This initiative represents an intriguing intersection of social commerce and the Internet of Things. It showcases the potential for any connected device to be transformed into an interactive and purchasable platform. Moreover, it reflects the increasingly blurred lines between advertising and direct sales.
Results achieved. The campaign resulted in a staggering 400% growth in new users for the marketplace. It reached an audience of 20 million and generated R$2.27 million in sales on Itaú Shop within just one hour.
